Crop cancellation

Unfortunately we have learnt that Brynglas House will now be closed on Saturday. The alternative offered to us is only available for the morning, there is no parking and it is in the middle of town. As a result we have taken the decision to cancel next weeks crop. We are really sorry for the disappointment this will cause.

We will be back at Brynglas House on 24th January (please send email to book) and in Bassaleg on February 7th.

Until then we all wish you a very merry Christmas and a happy and healthy New Year.

My favourite blog

I definitely have an absolute favourite blog and it has nothing to do with scrapbooking. It is called 'Cake Wrecks'. You can find it at http://cakewrecks.blogspot.com/ Please take a look - I have been known to sit here with tears literally rolling down my face, unable to breathe for laughing. It is not only the pictures but the blog owner, Jen, has a wicked sense of humour. Hope you enjoy it too! Sue x

Didn't we have a lovely time the day we went to Gloucester....

...a beautiful day, we had lunch on the way and all for under 22 pounds you know,
And on the way back we sat in the back and stroked our scrapbooking paper,
Singing a few of our favourite songs as the wheels went round.

(OK so maybe not the singing bit!)

ROAD TRIP!!!!

I can't quite believe that it's time for our first road trip! It doesn't seem like it was five minutes ago that it was spring and now here we are just about to go for our autumn trip.

We're off to Paperarts in Stroud to do some serious damage to our credit cards!! Credit Crunch or not, nothing gets in the way of stash accumulation. Then we're having a spot of lunch and on to Gloucester Marina and Cathedral for photo opporunitues (well we have to have an excuse for buying the stash).

I'm really looking forward to it and if you haven't yet booked your place....why not? You may still be in with a chance just email your request to mail@scrapbus.co.uk.

See ya Saturday

Food, glorious food!

It has become a tradition that everytime we meet for a Scrapbus Directors meeting it involves food. We have had some lovely meals in the 'Dragonfly' in Newport, Amber's cheesy creamy pasta sauce was fantastic and Fiona can make a mean burger and wedges (it was here we discovered the delights of Gu pots too). But I guess the pièce de résistance was when Dai (Julia's husband) created a masterpiece of food (lots of mexican influences) and he truly loved doing it!My coq au vin would never beat that but at least the clean plates meant it couldn't have been too bad (or everyone was too polite to leave anything!)
(artists impression!)
The purpose of the meeting was to sort out all the papers for the crops and special events coming up. The table was covered in delights and I did nearly lick the 'My Minds Eye' which is really lush! We even managed to scrapbook...Fiona taught us her LO 'model behaviour' and as usual we were in fits of laughter. I will be posting images of the papers for next weeks crop shortly...if you haven't booked and want to come there is still space, please email mail@scrapbus.co.uk to book.
Love Sue x
